Our invention relates to a mechanical glove, in particular for the saw protection and material suitable to be used for the realization of such a glove. In various areas of work, for example in the field of construction works, mechanical works, and overall maintenance of manufactured goods and machinery, is required (also from the accident prevention regulations in force) adequate protection of the hands of workers against the risk of injury due to accidental of objects and / or sharp.
For this purpose we have thought of using leather gloves high thickness to provide a certain degree of resistance, without compromising the sensitivity to the touch of the operator.
Our invention allows to overcome the drawbacks of using liners to be fixed or with sewing or another method to the leather glove, providing a mechanical glove equipped with high performance of cut resistance, while having excellent characteristics of comfort and sensitivity to touch. It was thought then to realize a leather glove comprising portions with cut-resistant characteristics in correspondence of predefined parts of the hand that must be protected; said portions are made of composite material consisting of a layer of skin and a layer of cut-resistant fiber permanently coupled between by gluing and hot pressing.

Test TDM-ISO 13997: the most inflexible
The EN 388 standard version 2003 introduced a new test to the cut, according to standard ISO 13997, with a procedure much more rigid for the products to be tested. The purpose is to find the force necessary to cut the tissue sample, with a displacement of the blade of only 20 mm. To obtain the level 4 with the test Canadian TDM (Tomo Dinamo Mètre) is required the strength equal to or greater than 13 NM; to obtain the level 5 is the required force equal to or greater than 22 NM (10 NM = 1 kg approx). ISO 13997 for a greater guarantee of protection to the hands.
